Dealing with Category 3 Water Damage

07 Jun Dealing with Category 3 Water Damage

In this edition of Keep it Clean with Triclean Restoration, Burke and Jon are on-site at a Category 3 (Blackwater) Sewage Loss job down in the crawlspace. They are working to get rid of all the contaminated materials out of the home. You can see water coming out of the flex duct after the sewer lines backed up. Their job is to get the house back to normal in as quick a fashion as possible. Also, Burke gets a little excited at the beginning of this one! 😉

Category 3 Water, known in the industry as “Black Water”, is grossly unsanitary and contains unsanitary agents, harmful bacteria and fungi that can lead to discomfort or sickness. This contaminated water affects indoor environments and includes water sources from sewage, seawater, rising water from rivers or streams, ground surface water or standing water.
